The Other Barn

The Other Barn is nestled in the heart of Howard County, Maryland, providing a rustic and charming barn setting, closer to home. Originally a dairy barn, it now provides a unique, elegant, and warm atmosphere that is the perfect place to celebrate life's special moments. The Other Barn is ideal and best known for hosting outdoor wedding ceremonies and indoor wedding receptions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Also offered are family gatherings, Bar or Bat Mitzvahs, retirement or birthday celebrations, and other large celebrations. Monday through Thursday, The Other Barn is available to host small gatherings, rehearsal dinners, and business meetings by special request.

The Other Barn prides itself on being an affordable, local venue while allowing our clients to choose all of their own vendors in order to watch their dreams become a reality on their special day. Clients are required to bring in a licensed caterer of their choice. We offer a full kitchen, a large ice machine, and ice chests. We will set up tables and chairs for you prior to your event (and take them down after), according to a specialized floor plan that you design with our Facility & Rental Coordinator. Table coverings, decorations, and other set-ups will be provided and put in place by the client and their vendors.

Our Facility & Rental Coordinator, Ashleigh Jacobs, and administrative team will work with you every step of the way, from the moment you step inside of The Other Barn for a tour, through the contract process, and as you finalize the last details of your event. We will work to accommodate all of your needs and answer all of your questions as you prepare for your special event. An administrative staff person will always be on duty throughout your event, to answer any questions you may have.
